The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has promoted Jo Bourne to the role of membership director.
The specialist jewellery and watch buying group stated that Bourne’s appointment forms part of its ongoing commitment to reinforcing engagement, fueling growth and developing an expandable framework to underpin long-term progress.
The appointment also reflects her “outstanding” contribution over recent months, during which she has adopted significant responsibility and offered crucial support across the business.
Her new position officially expands her responsibilities to include leading engagement with both sides of the market, which the CMJ added will ensure a more integrated approach to member partnerships.
The organisation also said the appointment marks a vital structural step in strengthening its head office team, making it so it is better placed to support its expanding portfolio of initiatives and offer greater value to members.
Patrick Turner, CMJ managing director, said: “I am very pleased with this structural move. Jo’s leadership and commitment have already made a meaningful impact, and this evolution of her role will help take the CMJ to the next level as we continue to support our members and deliver on our ambitions.”
Bourne added: “I’m incredibly proud to step into the role of membership director at the CMJ. Having worked closely with our members as retail membership manager for over three years, I’m excited and passionate about continuing to strengthen our community, supporting both independent retailers and suppliers and working alongside the team to build on the strong foundations already in place. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead for the group.”
